A Brisbane man who died following a forklift crash in Central Queensland was just weeks away from becoming a first-time father.
Joe Williams, 35, was driving the forklift along a road at Middlemount, three hours north-west of Rockhampton, when the vehicle rolled and trapped his leg.
He was treated at the scene in a critical condition but later died from his injuries, paramedics said.

As investigations into the incident continue, close friends and family have paid tribute to Mr Williams as well as starting multiple fundraisers to support his partner Casey and soon-to-be-born daughter.
Friend Tye Stephenson said Mr Williams was his "brother" and "partner-in-crime", vowing to look after his late friend's family.
"I promise, mate, that I will always be here looking out for your beautiful partner Casey and beautiful baby girl, even though I know that you are looking down on them," Mr Stephenson wrote.
Tom Youngs, one of the fundraiser organisers, said loved ones had "fond memories of Joe" and that he was "great to be around, always cracking a joke".
"(He was) there if you needed a chat and not afraid of getting his hands dirty," Mr Youngs said.
"We would like to do anything we can to support his partner Casey and their soon-to-be-born baby."
