Brisbane Roar ends feud with former coach

The Brisbane Roar soccer club has come to a private agreement with former coach Mike Mulvey, resolving a looming legal battle where about $270,000 in damages were reportedly being sought.

Mr Mulvey was suing the club for the equivalent of an 18-month payout and had wanted to resolve issues outside court, according to an ABC report from 2015.

The matter has been before the Brisbane District Court since 2015 and a hearing was listed on Thursday.

But it was vacated at the request of both parties after a private agreement was reached outside court, AAP has confirmed.

No details about the agreement were available.

Mr Mulvey was sensationally removed from the Roar's head coaching role just months after guiding the team to the A-League championship.

He was sacked in November 2014 because of a supposed disagreement between himself and Brisbane over the club's footballing philosophy.

After leaving Brisbane, Mr Mulvey was appointed technical director of the Sabah Football Association in Malaysia.
