Brisbane raids net $650k in drugs

About $650,000 worth of ice and cannabis have been found during early morning raids in Brisbane.

Superintendent Peter Aitken said five people were taken into custody after raids in Upper Mount Gravatt and Ferny Grove on Friday morning uncovered about 500g of methamphetamine worth $500,000 and nine pounds (4.08kg) of cannabis worth $150,000.

"What we do believe is that we have disrupted the local supply of ice and cannabis," Supt Aitken said, adding that criminal gangs weren't involved.
