Queensland police officers charged after allegedly being caught with child abuse material

Two Queensland police officers have been charged in separate incidents, both accused of accessing child exploitation material while off duty.

The 30-year-old senior constable from the Brisbane region and 27-year-old constable from the northern region are now suspended from the state's police service.

They were each charged with one count of using a carriage service to access child abuse material.

The officers have been suspended from Queensland Police and will front court next month.

"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct," Queensland Police said in a statement.

"This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated."
