Toddler dies in hospital after being pulled from Moreton Bay pool

A two-year-old boy has died in hospital after being pulled from an inflatable backyard pool in the Moreton Bay suburb of Morayfield.

Paramedics performed CPR on the toddler yesterday afternoon, before he was taken to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.

Police have advised that the boy died this morning. They will prepare a report for the Coroner.

In a separate incident, a young girl remains in a stable condition at Robina Hospital after nearly drowning in a pool at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast this morning.
