Teenage boy missing from Sunshine Coast found safe and well

Queensland Police has located the 13-year-old boy missing from Twin Waters since yesterday afternoon. 

A land and air search resumed on the Sunshine Coast at first light, however the boy returned home at 6.15 am (AEST).

An amber alert was issued by police shortly before 11.30 last night.

Polair and the dog squad assisted police with the search, with the boy's disappearance considered out of character.

There was no suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance.

Police wished to thank the media and the public for their assistance in the search.
