Suitcase of clothes found outside court

A suspicious package found outside Brisbane's Supreme and District Court building has turned out to be a suitcase full of clothes, police say.

Parts of a courtyard between the magistrates court and Supreme and District Court buildings were cordoned off and bomb squad officers were called to investigate after the suitcase was found on Friday afternoon.

By about 5pm the area had been cleared and emergency services left the scene.
