Billy Gordon released from hospital

Embattled MP Billy Gordon has been released from Cairns hospital after suffering a mild heart attack.

The member for Cook had surgery on Saturday after experiencing tightness in his chest and difficulty breathing the day before.

A spokesman has told AAP that Mr Gordon, who has absented himself from Queensland parliament this week, was released from the hospital's care on Tuesday afternoon.
