Battle for LNP pre-selection in Brisbane

Two CEOs and a former international aid worker are vying to run for the Liberal National Party in the federal seat vacated by Teresa Gambaro.

The LNP confirmed on Friday that National Retail Association boss Trevor Evans, Australian Institute of Medical Scientists CEO Dr Edward Fraser, and humanitarian Sean Jacobs were standing for pre-selection in the seat of Brisbane.

Mr Evans was last month endorsed by former Queensland premier Campbell Newman, who had considered a federal tilt after Ms Gambaro decided to stand down.
