Attempted murder charge after Qld stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was stabbed in the back and neck in southeast Queensland.
Police say a 47-year-old Townsville man stabbed another man at a motel on Charlton Esplanade, Hervey Bay, about 7pm (AEST) on Thursday.
The victim received multiple wounds and was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He's due to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on November 5.
