April 20 - Allison Baden-Clay reported missing by husband Gerard from their Brisbane home

April 30 - Her body is found on a creek bank 13km from the home

June 13 - Real estate agent Gerard Baden-Clay charged with murder and interfering with a corpse

2014

July 15 - Jury finds him guilty after six-week trial. An appeal is filed two days later

August 7 - Appeal is heard in Queensland's Court of Appeal

2015

December 8 - Murder conviction is downgraded to manslaughter as Appeal Court rules it could not be proved beyond reasonable doubt Gerard intended to kill his wife

2016

January 4 - Director of Public Prosecutions files High Court application to reinstate murder charge

February 22 - Baden-Clay's legal team says appeal against downgraded charge raises "no question of law of public importance"

May 12 - High Court grants special leave to appeal the substituted manslaughter conviction

August 31 - High Court upholds the appeal, reinstating Baden-Clay's murder conviction

2017

February 23 - Allison's parents make an uncontested application in the Brisbane Supreme Court, granting them full control of her estate, which includes a life insurance payout and superannuation

March 22 - Federal Court is tasked with determining whether Allison's two life insurance policies, worth more than $800,000, are considered part of her estate

May 7 - Federal Court rules Allison's two life insurance policies would be included under the control of the executor of her estate, her father Geoff Dickie, and kept in a trust for her three daughters.
