Qld cop stood down for excessive force

A Queensland police sergeant has been stood down over claims he used excessive force while on duty.

The 43-year-old male officer from Brisbane is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command.

Police say the allegation does not mean the offence has been substantiated.
