Private interest sought for inland rail

The federal government is seeking private sector interest in the design, construction, delivery and financing of the Inland Rail project.

The Australian Rail Track Corporation has also sought expressions of interest for technical engineering and environmental approval services for the project.

The project involves an interstate rail corridor between Melbourne and Brisbane, enabling freight operators to avoid the congested Sydney network.
