Powerball jackpots to $100 million, the biggest prize for more than a year
Powerball has soared to $100 million for the first time in more than a year.
No one had the lucky winning numbers – 20, 15, 7, 8, 10, 19, 12 and a powerball of 7 – in Thursday night’s $60 million draw, sparking the jackpot.
A man from Latrobe Valley is $20 million richer after a life-changing last-minute decision. The Lott
Lottery organisers The Lott expect as many as half of Australian adults to enter next week’s draw for the chance to become the country’s third biggest lottery winner ever.
Spokesperson Matt Hart said a steady stream of division one wins had stopped the jackpot climbing too high until now.
“To give you an idea of the excitement these jackpots generate, the last time Powerball offered a $100 million prize, in June 2025, the peak of sales was at 6.27pm on the day of the draw when 8315 tickets were sold in a single minute,” he said, in a statement.
“Just imagine the endless possibilities with a multimillion-dollar Powerball prize in your back pocket.
“Whether it's jet-setting around the globe, building your dream home, or setting your family up for generations to come, someone’s dreams could become a reality.”
The last $100 million Powerball jackpot in June last year went to a mystery Sydney winner, sparking a months-long search.
The Lott is yet to confirm if the winner still remains unidentified.
