Police search for missing jetskier in Qld

A man has gone missing while jetskiing off Redcliffe, sparking a search by authorities.

The 63-year-old's jet ski has been found but there's been no sign of the man, who was on the water between Tangalooma and Redcliffe on Sunday, police say.

A police helicopter and seven water police boats are searching an area 2.7 nautical miles east of the Redcliffe jetty.

They will continue late into Sunday night, a police spokeswoman told AAP.
