Police release CCTV after man allegedly killed in hit-run in Victoria

Police have released CCTV of a white truck after a man was found dead alongside a road in Victoria's east.

A passerby found the man, believed to be in his 60s, on Waterloo Road in Trafalgar on Sunday.

Police believe the man was hit by a vehicle overnight or early that morning and the driver did not stop at the scene.

The man was last seen walking east on Waterloo Road about 50 metres east of Middle Road at about 7.10pm on July 27.

Police have not formally identified the man and have contacted aged care homes and boarding houses as a part of their enquiries.

He was wearing a black tracksuit top, a white chequered shirt, black track pants with two white stripes down the sides, and no shoes.

Detectives have released vision of a medium rigid white truck seen driving east on Waterloo Road in Trafalgar at around 7.10pm on July 27.

They believe the driver may be able to assist with their enquiries.
