Police find 1.5kg of ice in Coffs Harbour

Three men have been arrested and charged after police found about $200,000 of the drug ice in northern NSW.

Police on Wednesday seized over 1.5kg of methylamphetamine, otherwise known as ice, after executing a search warrant at a home in North Boambee in Coffs Harbour.

The drugs are believed to have a street value of about $200,000.

Three men, aged 24, 54 and 63, were arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.

They were charged with a number of offences and refused bail.

The charges include supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.

The 54-year-old man from Tucabia and 24-year-old man from Upper Orara will appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Friday.

The 63-year-old man from North Boambee will appear at the same court on Monday.

Meanwhile, detectives on Thursday searched a number of other premises, in Upper Orara, Korora, Coffs Harbour, Sawtell and Sans Souci in Sydney.

They found more illegal drugs believed to be LSD, MDMA, methylamphetamine, cannabis, mobile phones, documents and equipment and chemicals believed to be used to manufacture drugs.

Additional charges were laid against the three men after the raid.

A fourth man, a 27-year-old man from Upper Orara, was issued a notice to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on March 24.
