Police arrest six as operation targeting financial crime continues
Police have arrested six people and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and drugs as part of a nationwide crackdown on financial crime.
Operation Protego was launched after the Australian Taxation Office detected a spike in fraud cases.
The six arrested include five men aged between 21 and 25 and a 22-year-old woman.

All have been charged with various offences including possessing proceeds of crime and drug trafficking.
Police will allege almost $215,000 was stolen from the ATO.
Victoria Police Detective Senior Sergeant Danny Travaglini said the maximum penalty for this type of offending is 20 years.
The gang crime squad seized drugs and weapons as well as laptops, phones and an expensive dining set.
