Ping pong after work for DFAT staff
AAP
Staff at the foreign affairs department's innovation hub are only allowed to play ping pong on a $6300 table outside office hours.
They also had to buy their own bats and balls even though the table is used for work and meeting purposes during business hours at the InnovationxChange.
A Senate committee heard on Thursday the department had carried out occupational health and safety evaluation on the table's use for ping pong and it was dubbed low risk.
