Pilot killed in central Qld crash

A pilot has died in a chopper crash in Queensland's central west.
The 47-year-old had been mustering in a single-seat chopper when he failed to return home.
Police found the crash site on Monday night after family members raised the alarm.

It's believed the helicopter came down about 6pm on a property on the Landsborough Highway about 40km northwest of Barcaldine.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and air safety authorities have been notified.
