Two little piggies went to the servo

What a sight for sow eyes.

Two pigs made themselves at home in the car park and garden beds of a Gold Coast petrol station overnight.

The owner of the Caltex petrol station at Upper Coomera, Trent Bunn, told 9NEWS he got a call about the unexpected guests around 2.30am and arrived at work a few hours later to find they were still there.

CCTV shows the relaxed pair seemingly unperturbed by motorists filling up.

Mr Bunn was able to lure one of the pigs into the dog wash facility with a bit of food but left the other one to sleep peacefully in the garden, where passers-by delighted in taking photos.

As it turned out, Miss Piggy and Miss Piggy 2 had walked just 800 metres to the service station after escaping from their home in the middle of the night.

They were soon tracked down by owner Mick Cochran who had discovered they were missing upon waking this morning and, after turning to the local Facebook community page, was quick to come and collect them.

Council officers were also on scene, assisting to apprehend the escape artists.

“They’re not hungry… they’re out wandering, they had a run and they got away,” Mr Cochran said.

“I’m going home to fix the fence right now.”
