More than 70 police officers have been called in to break up an out of control party in the Perth suburb of Thornlie.

About 200 partygoers spilled out onto Tremlett Street around midnight after police informed security at the party it was being shut down.

It wasn’t long before a number of fights broke out in the street. Two teenage boys aged 16 suffered minor head injuries in a fight on the lawn of a neighbour's house.

They were taken to Armadale Hospital. One boy has been discharged while the other has been transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police say the party was registered and security guards were hired for the event.

No arrests were made while the canine squad was called in to disperse the crowd.

It’s the second out of control party in Thornlie within a week.

Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
