Passenger train derails in Sydney's west
A passenger train was derailed on Sydney's T1 North Shore & Western line yesterday in the midst of commuter chaos.
The derailment happened at Clarendon Station near Richmond early yesterday morning amid a chaotic commute into the city, Transport for NSW confirmed.
The train was heading to central when it came off the tracks.

No one was injured in the incident, TFNSW also said.
"Any causes will be determined throughout the investigation process," it said in a statement.
"As with any rolling-stock incident like this, and in line with existing processes, Sydney Trains and EDI Downer [the rolling-stock maintainer] are formally investigating."
Only the front carriage of the train came off the tracks, bringing it to a sudden halt.
Bus replacements were operating all day until the train was put back on the tracks at 5pm.
The incident happened in the height of industrial action by the combined rail unios, which saw up to 2000 services cancelled across Wednesday and yesterday.
