Parliamentary Budget Officer resigns

A search for a new Parliamentary Budget Officer will start in the new year following the resignation of Jenny Wilkinson from the role.
Ms Wilkinson was appointed to the position in July 2017, heading the office which among other things involves independently costing MP and political party policy proposals, and analysing the budget cycle and fiscal policy.
Linda Ward and Colin Brown will act in the role of Parliamentary Budget Officer until a permanent appointment.
