Childcare worker charged after allegedly slapping two boys in Sydney

A Sydney childcare worker has been charged after he allegedly slapped two boys in the face with his hand.

Bankstown Police say they were told the 25-year-old man assaulted a three-year-old and a four-year-old in his care at a Panania childcare centre at about 1pm on Thursday.

Police arrested the man at a home in Belmore at 7.45am today.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of common assault.

The man is due to appear in court tomorrow.
