New faces and old in Palaszczuk's smaller Queensland ministry

New Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has unveiled her new ministry, cutting the number of posts from 19 to 14.

Ministers will juggle multiple portfolios, and while Ms Palaszczuk rewarded her old team, new faces were also elevated to the front bench.

Jackie Trad’s position as Deputy Premier was confirmed, while Curtis Pitt will be Treasurer.

Anthony Lynham will take the mining portfolio, and Yvette D’Ath will be the Attorney General.

Jo-Ann Miller will become the state’s new Police Minister.

The agriculture portfolio went to Bill Byrne, while Cameron Dick (Health) and Kate Jones (Edcuation) also snared front-bench positions.

Five new faces also received portfolios.
