Opal card to be rolled out Sydney-wide

Swipe on, swipe off ticketing will be in place across the entire Sydney train network by the end of next week.
The Opal card will be available at an additional 70 Sydney train stations from Green Square to Macarthur, Erskineville to Liverpool and Lidcombe, and Sydenham to Waterfall and Cronulla from March 28.

The extension will mean the Opal card can be used at 190 stations across the city.
The following week, Opal is due to be introduced at another 52 stations on the South Coast line to Wollongong, Port Kembla and Bomaderry and the Southern Highlands line to Goulburn.
