Opal card fees set to increase from July 14
The cost of your daily commute is about to go up.
Opal fares are due to increase by 2.5 per cent from July 14, according to Transport for NSW, due to the annual CPI rise.
Weekly travel will still be capped at $50 for adults and $25 for child/youth Opal cards.

Seniors and pensioners with a Gold Opal card will not be charged more than $2.50 per day.
Adult Opal fare caps will increase from $18.70 a day to $19.30 on Monday to Thursdays.
On Fridays to Sundays, adult fares will go up from $9.35 a day to $9.65.
For child/youth and concession card holders, fare caps will increase from $9.35 per day to $9.65 on Monday to Thursdays.
On Fridays to Sundays, the daily cap will increase from $4.65 to $4.80.

Senior Opal cardholders will not pay anything extra.
Access to the Sydney Airport terminal will increase to $17.92 for adults and $16.03 for child Opal card holders.
