Nurses at WA cancer ward perform special Christmas show for patients

Nurses have brought some festive cheer to a West Australian cancer ward, putting on a flash-mob style dance show for their patients.

All seems to be going normally in the oncology ward of St John of God Murdoch Hospital, until one nurse picks up a tambourine and shakes it up and down the corridor.

Festive music starts blaring, and hospital staff burst into dance along the corridor.

They even use medical props, such as a crash cart, as part of their routine.

Patients can be seen looking out from their rooms and laughing.

The hospital posted a statement on their Facebook page thanking the nurses for their performance.

"Just when you think our Cancer Centre caregivers couldn't get anymore fabulous, check out this amazing display of our values in action," the hospital wrote.

"Spirit of Christmas well and truly alive here. Amazing effort, team."

Patients' families and friends thanked the nurses for going above and beyond to spread festive cheer during a difficult period.
