Northern Territory Police have seized five cars in Alice Springs over the past week that were allegedly taking alcohol into dry communities.

Police say on Saturday a 34-year-old woman was stopped by police as she entered an alcohol restricted camp.

"Upon a search of her vehicle, officers located two bottles of spirits. The alcohol and the woman's car were seized by police," Acting Superintendent Pauline Vicary said.

On Friday, police stopped another car from entering a dry community and seized three bottles of spirits.

"This along with the other seizures has stopped alcohol from entering into several restricted areas and affecting vulnerable members of the community," Acting Superintendent Vicary said.

"Alice Springs Police are committed to preventing alcohol-related offences, particularly offences that contribute to family violence."
