Teen dies after New England ute crash

A teenage girl has died after the ute she was a passenger in crashed in the northern tablelands region of NSW.

Emergency services were called to Shannon Vale Road, Glen Innes, following reports of a crash at about 10.45 on Saturday morning.

Police found a Holden Commodore utility had crashed at the location.

Paramedics treated the 19-year-old passenger, before taking her Glen Innes Hospital, where she later died.

The 18-year-old man who had been driving the car was also taken to Glen Innes Hospital before being transferred to Tamworth Hospital for further treatment.

The Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
