War medals nicked as owner sleeps
AAP
Three prized World War II service medals have been stolen from a home in Sydney's south while their owner lay asleep inside.
The medals, along with a commemorative Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) coin, were stolen from a Monterey home in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The residents were home when the thief sneaked in but they didn't realise the medals and other items were gone until later in the day.
