Trio face court over NSW bashing murder

Two men charged with the bashing murder of a 21-year-old who was found unconscious on a NSW road have had their cases mentioned in separate Central Coast courts.

Jayden Mason was found on the side of a road in Lake Haven with severe head injuries just moments after being kicked out of the Wyong Leagues Club on June 24.

The next day his family made the difficult decision to turn off his life support.

Three men were arrested on Monday, with two of them charged with Mr Mason's murder.

Benjamin Keith O'Brien, 28, appeared before Wyong Local Court on Tuesday charged with the murder of Mr Mason.

Ryan Paterson, 34, appeared in Gosford Local Court, also charged with murder.

The matter of David James O'Brien was also mentioned in Wyong after the 37-year-old was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.

None of the trio applied for bail and it was formally refused for each. The men did not enter pleas.

The group are next expected to appear before Wyong Local Court on September 5.

Mr Mason has been remembered as a "genuine and kind-hearted" man on Facebook.
