Trio of men charged over extensive Sydney drug network

Three men will appear in a Sydney court over their alleged involvement in a drug supply network across the city's southwest.

Police carried out dawn raids yesterday at properties in Oyster Bay, Greenacre and Parramatta following an investigation that began last May.

During the searches officers allegedly found guns, ammunition and products used to manufacture ammunition, ice, cannabis and cash.

It's also alleged the men were in possession of fraudulent ID documents, mobile phones and SIM cards and a vehicle suspected to be proceeds of crime.

The three men, aged 21, 22 and 31, will appear in Parramatta Bail Court today on various offences including participating in a criminal group, drug and firearm supply and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.

The raids were carried out as part of Strike Force Kentgrove, which was established in May 2016 to tackle illicit drug supply in Sydney's south-west.

12 people have been arrested over drugs and firearms offences as part of the investigation so far, with more than 50 larges laid.
