Third person charged over fatal mistaken identity shooting
A third person has been charged over his alleged role in the fatal shooting of an innocent bystander in Sydney’s west.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a Pemulwuy property about 6am on Thursday, arresting a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with murder, participating in a criminal group, and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order.
The arrest follows the September 2 fatal shooting of innocent 40-year-old Joshua Macdonald outside a Merrylands West home.
Police allege the 21-year-old acted as the getaway driver for the gunman before and after the shooting, and later drove the group responsible for burning out the getaway vehicles.

He was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
Two others, 28-year-old school teacher Ashleigh Ann Seeney and an 18-year-old man, also remain before the courts.
Seeney is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, with police alleging she helped the assailants evade arrest after leaving the Merrylands West crime scene.

The 18-year-old faces charges of murder and participating in a criminal group.
Police allege he was contracted to fly a surveillance drone over the target home, feeding real-time information to those waiting in a nearby getaway vehicle.
Detectives seized the drone and several encrypted devices, claiming to have found evidence directly linking the aerial footage to the shooting.
