Teens charged for stabbing NSW shopkeeper

Two teenagers have been charged over a stabbing that left a shopkeeper fighting for life on the NSW Central Coast.

A 41-year-old man was stabbed on Tuesday after two people entered the Wyong store just before 9.30am, detectives say.

There was an "altercation" before the man was stabbed, police said at the time.

His attackers fled on foot.

The victim was airlifted in a critical condition to Royal North Shore Hospital to undergo emergency surgery, CareFlight said in a statement. He's now in a stable condition.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man at a home at Green Point that night and charged him with armed robbery causing grievous bodily harm.

He was released on conditional bail and ordered to appear at Gosford Local Court on May 31.

They also arrested a 17-year-old girl at a home in Wyong on Wednesday and charged her with the same offence. She was due before a children's court on Thursday.

Investigators are still working to determine the identities of two more people believed to be in the store at the time of the stabbing.
