Two teenage girls charged following alleged stabbing on Sydney street

Two teenage girls have been charged after a 17-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times during a brawl in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to Lancaster Street in Blacktown about 2.30pm on Friday following reports of a fight involving a group of people.

After being injured, a teenager ran onto the grounds of a nearby school.

Police believe she has no affiliation with the school.

The rest of the group fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

Paramedics treated the teenager for multiple stab wounds before taking her to Westmead Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

Officers have established a crime scene.

Following investigations later on Friday, two girls aged 15 and 17, were arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station.

Police also allegedly found a knife inside a car that was believed to be used during the attack.

The 17-year-old girl was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with affray.

The 17-year-old was refused bail and will front children’s court on Saturday while the 15-year-old was granted conditional bail to face children’s court on Monday.
