Sydney truck and car smash causes delays

A head-on truck and car collision on the outskirts of Sydney has left one person in a serious condition and is causing lengthy delays for motorists.

NSW Ambulance were called to a crash on the South Western Motorway near Liverpool around 10am on Tuesday, a spokeswoman said.

One person has been taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Motorists in the area can expect long delays.
