Sydney man escapes car crash into store
A store owner has been lucky to escape injury as a car smashed through the front window of his clothing shop in Sydney's west.
Albert Khaicy, 73, was standing behind the counter of his men's clothing store in Parramatta on Saturday afternoon when a car veered off the road and drove towards him.
"It jumped the footpath and knocked the council seat down and smashed into the glass," he told AAP.
"For a moment I felt like I was watching a movie."
The driver, a man believed to be in his 60s, climbed out and said "I lost control of the car", Mr Khaicy said.
The car didn't stop until it was inside the shop, scattering glass, mannequins and clothes in its path.
"It was a little scary," he said.
Mr Khaicy said he was thankful no one was injured and his family had rushed over to help seal the shopfront.
