Sydney man charged after violent brawl

A man has been charged with affray and possessing steroids following a violent Christmas Eve brawl outside a Sydney restaurant.

Six men threw kicks, punches and restaurant chairs during the melee after an argument quickly turned violent.

The public dust-up allegedly kicked off after a group of men approached three others dining outside a Brighton-Le-Sands restaurant at about 11pm on Thursday.

One man was knocked unconscious in the fight but refused any treatment, while most others involved in the brawl fled before emergency workers arrived.

Detectives arrested one man in San Souci, south Sydney, late on Sunday afternoon and allegedly found 150 vials of steroids inside his car.

A 25-year-old has been charged with affray and possessing a prohibited drug and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on January 21.
