An identity theft syndicate in Sydney has been dismantled with three men being charged with 80 offences for stealing the details of 200 people to defraud more than a million dollars.

Three properties in Kingsford, Rhodes and Waterloo were searched on Tuesday morning following a two-year investigation.

Police allegedly found high-end designer apparel, electronic equipment, mobile phones, SIM cards, computers, MDMA tablets, credit cards, notes and approximately $10,000 in cash.

A 28-year-old man was charged with 63 offences. He was refused bail and is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with four offences and given conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 18 while a 37-year-old man on 10 charges was given conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 25.
