Sydney court house reopens after lockdown

A courthouse in western Sydney will reopen on Thursday after being sent into lockdown following a suspected bomb threat.

The riot squad shut down Mount Druitt Local Court about 12.30pm on Wednesday, according to witnesses.

A neighbouring business said customers were told a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the courthouse.

The court shut its doors for the rest of the day, with all cases adjourned to a later date.

NSW Justice gave the courthouse the all-clear on Wednesday evening.

"The police operation at #MtDruitt Court has ended. Business as usual at the court tomorrow," the department tweeted.
