Suspicious fire damages NSW home

A home has been damaged in a deliberately lit fire on the NSW mid north coast.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze at the Port Macquarie home in the early hours of Tuesday morning before it spread to the front of the residence.

Police say the fire, which damaged the back of the property, is being treated as suspicious.
