Surfer dies on Sydney's northern beaches

A surfer has died of a suspected cardiac arrest on Sydney's northern beaches.
Emergency services were called to Surf Road, North Curl Curl about 5pm on Monday, with reports a man was in cardiac arrest.
The man, believed to be a local in his 40s, was seen entering the surf about five minutes before he was found floating face down in the water, police said.

He was brought to shore and given CPR but couldn't be revived.
He has yet to be formally identified.
