STRUGGLES FACED BY FOSTER CHILDREN LEAVING HOME CARE IN AUSTRALIA:
* 35% were homeless within a year of leaving.
* 65% did not complete year 12 schooling.

* 28% were already parents themselves.
* 46% of young men had been involved in the juvenile justice system.
* 22% of young women had been involved in the juvenile justice system.
* 29% were unemployed.
* 74% were not in full time work or study four years after leaving.
