Sophia Tilley to plead guilty over drugs

The young woman embroiled in an ICAC probe into NSW prosecutor Margaret Cunneen has indicated she will plead guilty to cocaine possession, pending an analysis of the substance she was found with.

Sophia Alexandra Tilley's lawyer Eiden Havas appeared in the Waverley Local Court on Wednesday and indicated a guilty plea to one charge of drug possession, subject to a presumptive test, which the court heard could take weeks.

Ms Cunneen was previously accused by the corruption watchdog of advising her son Stephen Wyllie's girlfriend at the time, Ms Tilley, to fake chest pains to avoid a breath test after a 2014 car accident.

However, ICAC was forced to drop the probe into the NSW deputy crown prosecutor after the High Court ruled it had overstepped its jurisdiction.

Tilley, 26, has since broken up with Mr Wyllie.

She was allegedly found with cocaine at Bellevue Hill in Sydney's east late on the night of April 8, after reportedly being given a bag of the drug through a car window.

Tilley was not in court on Wednesday, and the case is due to return to court on June 28.
