Shots fired into Sydney home, no injuries

A man left shaken but uninjured after shots were fired into his western Sydney home has questioned why anyone would commit such an act.

Multiple shots were fired into the Fairfield home about 3.25am on Sunday, with Adel Ayoubi, who was inside at the time, saying "everyone just panicked" when they heard the noise.

"Just shook up about the whole thing, why would anyone do this?" he told the Seven Network.

"We don't have any grievances with anybody."

No one was injured in the shooting and police are still searching for the gunman.
