Shot fired during NSW home invasion

A shot has been fired during an armed robbery at a home on the NSW Central Coast, but the occupants of the house escaped uninjured.

Police say initial investigations suggest two men armed with a knife and a shotgun entered Gorokan home on Thursday evening and threatened the occupants.

An altercation took place and one of the men allegedly fired a shot at the home before the pair ran off with a small amount of property.

A number of people were home at the time of incident but no one was injured.
