'Severed penis' not human: NSW police
AAP
Forensic experts have declared that a suspected severed penis handed in at a NSW Central Coast police station was not human.
A man walked into Toukley Police Station on Thursday morning holding a plastic bag containing a mystery item that he believed was a severed human penis.
Once police and paramedics inspected the contents and agreed the item appeared to be some form of tissue and could be a penis, it was taken to John Hunter Hospital for forensic testing.

But police have now confirmed the tissue was not human.
A police spokeswoman told AAP authorities still don't know what the item was but that there would be no further investigation.
