Seven NSW homes raided in ice bust

Guns and large amounts of drugs have been seized after police carried out raids at several homes in Sydney's inner west and the NSW Hunter Region.

Seven properties, two in Newtown and five in Port Stephens, were stormed by police and hazardous materials crews at 7am on Friday.

Five people were arrested and a large quantity of the drug ice, 6000 pills, a shot gun, two pistols and two litres of liquid GHB were found across the properties.

The three men and two women are assisting police with inquiries.

The raids were part of a crackdown on the production of the ice in Port Stephens region, which uncovered a network that led to Sydney.
